Our Customer Service Ethic We would like you to enjoy yourself while you are in our shop. We know it is important to be able to look round at your leisure in your own time. We have 2 private changing rooms each with a mirror inside. You can take as many items into the changing room as you wish. If you wish, we will assist with sizings, fetching other styles, colours and sizes while you are looking round or while you are in the changing room so that you can concentrate on what you like, how you want to look and on feeling good in what you choose. Our Commitment to the Environment
To reduce the impact of running our shop and as part of our
responsibility to look after our environment and our home we
aim to reduce our CO2 emissions by 50% in this year as well
as
reducing our overall energy consumption.
From March 2006 we shall be using an electricity supplier
which uses renewable sources of energy only such as wind,
solar, small hydro and other.
In 2005 we became a member of CO2mmitment.
CO2mmitment is a local network of climate-aware businesses and organisations in or near the Upper Calder Valley. We pledge to take determined action to cut our CO2 emissions whilst ensuring that we are carbon neutral by planting enough trees to soak up the CO2 pollution from our business activities. In 2005/6 The Earth Collection, Hebden Bridge, is sponsoring 91 trees. The trees planted will be a mix of native broadleaves including shrubs for wildlife benefit.
In 2005 we became a member of the Recycling Club with the
Alternative Technology Centre in Hebden Bridge and recycle
all our plastic used in the packaging of our clothes.
We have always either taken for re-use or re-cycling all
cardboard used in the packaging of our clothes.
